Create an enabling environment for inclusive and sustainable policy oriented research on social aspects of development planning and concern for the overall development of India in general and the State of Telangana in particular.

To develop CSD as the most vibrant and inclusive institute of the country for the promotion and development of research related to the social aspect of development planning in Telangana State.
Research & Knowledge
To undertake and promote research in social sciences and social components of development planning of India in general and the state of Telangana in particular.
Academic & Professional Assistance
To provide academic and professional assistance to the departments and agencies of the Government of India and Government of Telangana.
Collaboration & Higher Learning
To collaborate with Universities, particularly those established in Telangana as also with other academic institutions and organisations in India or abroad for promotion of research and higher learning.
